VITREE

The Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) is a prestigious national entrance test designed for aspiring PhD scholars. Conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), VITREE facilitates admission to various doctoral programmes across VIT's four campuses: VIT Vellore, VIT AP, VIT Chennai, and VIT Bhopal. VITREE is conducted for admission to PhD, Direct PhD, and PhD in Deep Technology programmes at VIT institutions. VIT offers doctoral programmes (PhD) in various areas, including engineering, social sciences, business management, design, agriculture, hotel management, architecture, sciences, fashion technology, and law. The VITREE January 2026 session will be conducted on December 7, 2025, across 25 major Indian cities in the Computer-Based Test (CBT). The exam follows a national-level assessment with a two-hour duration comprising 100 multiple-choice questions.
