The SHUATS Online Entrance Test, commonly known as SOET 2026, is a university-level entrance examination conducted by Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj (formerly known as SHIATS - Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences). This comprehensive entrance test serves as a gateway for thousands of aspiring students seeking admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in agriculture, engineering, health sciences, pharmacy, nursing and allied fields. The SOET exam is conducted for admission to popular programmes, including B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech. Dairy Technology, B.Tech. Food Technology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Pharmacy, D.Pharmacy, B.Sc. Nursing, and various postgraduate courses in agriculture and allied sciences. With approximately 6,000 students currently enrolled and state-of-the-art infrastructure spread across 1,040 acres, SHUATS provides an excellent learning environment for students pursuing careers in agriculture, technology and health sciences. The SHUATS Online Entrance Test 2026 will likely be conducted in July 2026 through two modes: AI-Based Remotely Proctored Online Test (accessible through personal desktop/laptop from home) and Computer-Based Test (conducted at designated test centres). The university follows a transparent admission process based on merit lists prepared from SOET scores, ensuring fair opportunities for all eligible candidates. Separate merit lists are prepared for Christian and General categories, with 50% seats reserved for Christian students across all programmes. Additionally, SHUATS reserves 15% of undergraduate seats and 25% of postgraduate seats in agriculture-related programmes for candidates qualifying through the ICAR All India Entrance Examination.
