UPCATET

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test, commonly known as UPCATET, is a state-level entrance examination conducted annually by the Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), Ayodhya, on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Government. This examination serves as the gateway for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in agriculture, technology, and allied sciences offered by state agricultural universities and affiliated institutes across Uttar Pradesh. UPCATET is designed to assess candidates' knowledge in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, Agriculture, and General Knowledge, depending on the programme applied for. The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and provides admission to courses including B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology), B.Sc. (Horticulture, Forestry, Home Science), and various postgraduate programmes. The examination is typically held once a year, usually in May or June, with results declared within a month of the exam date. Top participating institutes include Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (Ayodhya), Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (Kanpur), Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology (Meerut), and Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology (Kumarganj, Faizabad). The examination attracts thousands of candidates annually from Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states who aspire to pursue careers in agriculture, horticulture, food technology, and related fields.
