UCEED

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee 2025. This examination serves as the primary pathway for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at six premier institutes: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The exam is open to all nationals (Indian and foreign) who have passed Class XII or equivalent in any stream - Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities. UCEED assesses candidates' design aptitude, creativity, observation skills, and spatial reasoning abilities through a comprehensive three-hour examination format. The test comprises both computer-based questions and hand-drawn responses, evaluating multiple facets of design thinking. The examination offers a gateway to world-class design education at institutes renowned for their innovative curricula, distinguished faculty, and excellent placement records. These programmes prepare students for careers in industrial design, communication design, interaction design, animation design, and emerging design disciplines that address contemporary societal challenges.
