Tripura TET

The Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test (Tripura TET) is a state-level teacher eligibility examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on behalf of the Government of Tripura. This examination serves as a mandatory qualifying test for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government schools across Tripura, covering classes I to VIII. The Tripura TET is conducted in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and follows the framework established by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for Teacher Eligibility Tests across India. The examination is designed to assess the teaching aptitude, pedagogical understanding, and subject knowledge of candidates who wish to teach at the primary level (Classes I-V) and upper primary level (Classes VI-VIII). The Tripura TET comprises two papers: Paper I for candidates intending to teach Classes I to V, and Paper II for those targeting Classes VI to VIII. Both papers carry a total of 150 marks each, with questions designed to evaluate candidates' understanding of child development, language proficiency, mathematical abilities, environmental studies, and pedagogical approaches. Qualified candidates receive a TET certificate valid for a lifetime, which is a prerequisite for applying to teaching positions in government and government-aided schools throughout Tripura.
