The National Forensic Aptitude Test (NFAT) is a premier national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This comprehensive aptitude test serves as the gateway for admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in forensic sciences, behavioural sciences, cyber security, and allied disciplines offered by NFSU across its multiple campuses in India. NFSU, established under the National Forensic Sciences University Act, 2020, is the world's first and only university dedicated exclusively to forensic sciences and allied areas. The National Forensic Aptitude Test evaluates candidates on their aptitude, general awareness, reasoning ability, and subject-specific knowledge depending on the programme they seek admission to. The examination is designed to assess a candidate's potential to pursue rigorous academic programmes in specialised fields of forensic sciences and related disciplines. Top participating institutes include the main campus at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, along with campuses at Delhi, Tripura, and Goa.
