About NEET UG
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) is a national-level medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is the only exam in India for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy) courses. NEET UG 2026 will be mandatory for aspirants seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, and other allied health science courses across government and private colleges.
The exam is highly competitive, with more than 20 lakh candidates expected to appear. It is conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode with multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). NEET UG scores are accepted by top institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, and several state and central universities.
