The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is a gateway to quality technical education in India's North Eastern region. Conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), this examination opens doors to certificate, diploma, and degree programmes in engineering, technology, forestry, and sciences. NEE serves as the primary admission pathway for students aspiring to study at NERIST, a deemed-to-be-university located in Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh. NEE is conducted at three distinct levels—NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III—catering to students at different educational stages. The examination assesses candidates' knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology, depending on their chosen stream. NEE-I is designed for Class X pass-outs seeking admission to certificate courses, NEE-II caters to Class XII students aiming for undergraduate degrees, and NEE-III is for diploma holders pursuing lateral entry into degree programmes.
