MH SET

The **Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET)** is a state-level eligibility examination conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University on behalf of the Government of Maharashtra. This examination serves as the qualifying test for determining the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions in universities and colleges across Maharashtra. The MH SET is conducted in accordance with the regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and follows the guidelines laid down for State Eligibility Tests across India. The examination is conducted annually and assesses candidates' comprehensive knowledge in their chosen subject along with their teaching and research aptitude. The test comprises two papers with a total of 200 marks, evaluated through objective-type multiple-choice questions. The certificate issued upon qualifying MH SET remains valid for a lifetime and is recognised for recruitment processes in state universities and their affiliated institutions.
