MAH-B.HMCT CET

The Maharashtra Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Common Entrance Test (commonly known as MAH-B.HMCT CET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. This examination serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (B.HMCT) programmes offered by various government and private institutions across Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Common Entrance Test assesses candidates on their aptitude, reasoning abilities, general knowledge, and English language proficiency. The exam is designed to evaluate whether candidates possess the necessary skills and knowledge required for pursuing a career in the hospitality industry. It is conducted annually in online mode (Computer Based Test), and the scores obtained are used for centralised admission counselling conducted by the State CET Cell. Top participating institutes accepting the Maharashtra Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Common Entrance Test scores include Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHM) Mumbai, IHM Pune, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) Aurangabad, and numerous affiliated colleges across Maharashtra. The examination provides access to B.HMCT programmes which typically span three years and prepare students for various roles in hotel management, catering, food production, front office operations, and hospitality administration.
