The Intelligence Bureau, established in 1887, is India's oldest and most prominent intelligence agency responsible for internal security and counter-intelligence operations. The ACIO recruitment examination is designed to select talented individuals for Grade-II/Executive roles within the organisation. The examination tests candidates across multiple dimensions including general awareness, numerical ability, logical reasoning, English language proficiency, and domain-specific knowledge based on the cadre applied for. The examination comprises multiple stages including a Tier-I objective exam, Tier-II descriptive exam, and interviews, culminating in document verification and medical examination.
