HP TET

The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, commonly known as HP TET, is a state-level eligibility examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala. This examination is mandatory for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government schools across Himachal Pradesh at both primary (Class I to V) and upper primary (Class VI to VIII) levels. The HP TET serves as a qualifying examination that certifies candidates' eligibility for appointment as teachers in government and government-aided schools within the state. The examination is conducted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and follows the framework established under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009.
