DEEET

The Diploma Engineering Entrance Examination of Tripura (DEEET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted annually by the Central Selection Committee (CSC) under the Education (Higher) Department, Government of Tripura. This examination serves as the gateway for students aspiring to pursue diploma courses in engineering across various polytechnic institutes in Tripura. The exam is designed to assess candidates' knowledge in Mathematics, Physical Science/Science, and English, preparing a merit list for admission to diploma engineering programmes. DEEET 2026 is scheduled to be conducted in May 2026, offering aspiring engineers an opportunity to secure admission to prestigious polytechnic institutes across Tripura. The examination carries a total of 100 marks and follows a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format through an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) system. The exam is conducted at five centres across Tripura: Agartala, Udaipur, Belonia, Ambassa, and Dharmanagar, making it accessible to candidates from different regions of the state. Top participating institutes include various government and aided polytechnic colleges in Tripura, offering diverse engineering diploma courses such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. The examination ensures fair and transparent admission processes, with reservations provided as per the Government of Tripura's policy for SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Wards of Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories. Only permanent residents of Tripura who have passed or are appearing in their Madhyamik or equivalent examination are eligible to apply for DEEET 2026.
