COGJET

The Cognitive Science Joint Entrance Test (COGJET) is a prestigious university-level entrance examination conducted annually for admission to postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Cognitive Science across India. Organised by the Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences, University of Allahabad, in collaboration with IIIT Hyderabad, COGJET serves as the gateway for aspiring students to pursue Master's and integrated MSc-PhD programmes in Cognitive Science. COGJET 2026 is a national-level entrance test designed to assess candidates' understanding of cognitive psychology, neuroscience, mathematics, linguistics, programming, and general reasoning. The test is conducted once a year in online mode, allowing candidates to appear from any location with reliable internet connectivity. The common eligibility criteria for COGJET require candidates to have completed a three-year or four-year undergraduate degree programme in relevant fields such as Cognitive Science, Psychology, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Analytical Science, Engineering, Medical Science, or Management Studies. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree by June 2026. The examination assesses candidates through 40 multiple-choice questions over a duration of 2 hours, followed by a counselling and interview process for shortlisted candidates.
