CG TET

The Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam) to assess the eligibility of candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and aided schools across Chhattisgarh. This examination is mandatory for appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII in schools administered by the Chhattisgarh government and its local bodies. The CG TET is conducted in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and follows the standards set by the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009. The examination is divided into two papers: Paper I for candidates intending to teach Classes I to V (Primary level) and Paper II for those aspiring to teach Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary level). Candidates can appear for either Paper I or Paper II or both, depending on their educational qualifications and teaching preference. The Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test certificate is valid for life, and there is no restriction on the number of attempts. The examination is conducted annually, and successful candidates become eligible to apply for teaching positions in government schools across the state.
