CEED

The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. CEED serves as the gateway for admissions to postgraduate programmes in design, including Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD programmes at premier institutions across India. CEED is specifically designed to test candidates on their aptitude for design, creative thinking, visual perception, logical reasoning, and communication skills. The examination evaluates both the analytical and creative capabilities of aspiring design professionals. The exam is conducted annually in computer-based mode and attracts thousands of design aspirants from across the country who wish to pursue advanced studies in various design disciplines. Top participating institutes include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IISc Bangalore, IIITDM Jabalpur, and several other renowned design institutions. The examination provides access to specialisations such as Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, Animation, Mobility and Vehicle Design, and other emerging design fields. With a total score of 100 marks, CEED is recognised as one of the most competitive design entrance examinations in India.
