Assam JMEE

The Joint MCA Entrance Examination (JMEE) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) for admission to the first semester of the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme in various engineering colleges across Assam. This examination serves as the gateway for aspiring computer science professionals to pursue their postgraduate studies in the state. JMEE is conducted annually and is designed to assess candidates' knowledge in Mathematics, Reasoning, English, and Fundamentals of Computers. The test follows an offline mode using OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheets, making it crucial for candidates to understand the proper marking techniques. To be eligible for JMEE, candidates must possess a recognised bachelor's degree of minimum three years' duration with Mathematics at either 10+2 level or graduation level. Additionally, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation (45% for reserved categories). The age limit for applicants is between 20 to 26 years as on 1st July of the year. Most importantly, candidates must hold a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam issued by the competent authority.
