AP ECET

The Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTU-A) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). This examination serves as a gateway for diploma holders and B.Sc. degree holders to gain admission into the second year of undergraduate engineering programmes (lateral entry) across various prestigious institutions in Andhra Pradesh.

The exam provides an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their academic credentials and pursue their engineering aspirations through a recognised pathway. AP ECET is conducted annually in online mode, allowing candidates to appear for the examination from designated test centres across the state. The exam assesses candidates' knowledge in their respective streams, including Engineering, Pharmacy, and Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (for B.Sc. graduates). With thousands of students appearing each year, AP ECET has become one of the most significant lateral entry examinations in South India, offering admission to various engineering disciplines such as Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering, among others.
