AIAPGET

The All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test, commonly known as AIAPGET, is a national-level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate AYUSH courses across India. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), this prestigious examination opens doors to MD/MS programmes in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy systems of medicine. AIAPGET serves as the gateway for thousands of aspiring medical professionals seeking advanced specialisation in traditional Indian medicine systems. The AIAPGET exam is held once a year and provides access to both All India and State quota seats in Government, Government-aided, National Institutions, Central, and Deemed Universities across the country. The conducting body, NTA, is responsible for inviting online applications, conducting the computer-based entrance test, declaring results, and providing All India rank to candidates. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) then utilise these results for admission to postgraduate courses. This postgraduate-level examination assesses candidates on subjects and knowledge areas as per the Graduate Level Education Regulations of respective disciplines issued by NCISM/NCH. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), or Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) along with one year of compulsory rotating internship are eligible to appear for this examination. The examination provides equal opportunities to candidates from all backgrounds, with reservation policies in place for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwBD categories.
