Nagaland State Research Scholarship 2025-26 is an initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, to provide financial assistance to students pursuing research-based courses like Ph.D. and D.Litt. at recognised universities within India. Selected students will receive financial assistance to pursue higher education.
ST and indigenous pursuing Ph.D./D.Litt.
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:- Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button. Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID) Step 3: Navigate to the 'Register' button on the left-hand side of the dashboard. Step 4: Fill in the required details to complete the registration process. (Note: If the applicant is already registered, kindly log in using valid credentials) Step 5: After successful registration, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents (if required) and submit. Step 6: Take a printout of the application form and submit it along with the xerox copy of the documents to the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, at the address: Scholarship Section, Directorate of Higher Education Below New Secretariat Complex Nagaland, Kohima-797001
Selected candidates will receive financial assistance to continue their studies.
Certified photocopy of Class 10 admit card Certified photocopy of the last qualifying final examination Marksheet Certified photocopy of Scheduled Tribe and Indigenous certificates issued by the competent designated authority, e.g., Deputy Commissioner or District Magistrate A copy of the synopsis of the proposed Research Work, duly countersigned by the Guide or Supervisor (for Ph.D. scholars) Certified photocopy of the registration card/letter (for Ph.D. scholars) Xerox copy of the front page of the bank passbook Xerox copy of the Aadhaar card Xerox copy of the admission receipt One recent passport photograph should be pasted on the printed form

The first-year MPhil, Ph.D., and D.Litt scholars are eligible to apply for the Nagaland State Research Scholarship.
