Researchers, academics and scientists
Candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:- Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID). Step 3: Navigate to the link for the application portal for the respective program line near the bottom of the page and click it. Step 4: Click 'Register Now', enter and verify the necessary details. Step 5: After successful registration, login with valid credentials. Step 6: Proceed with the application. Note:- The funding period will be determined by the selection committee during the selection process. Applicants are requested to indicate the desired funding period in the application form.
Selected candidates will receive monthly scholarship payments of €1,400 (for doctoral and postdoctoral candidates), €2,000 (for assistant professors and lecturers), and €2,150 (for full professors). Additionally, candidates are eligible for payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover. Travel allowance will be provided as per DAAD guidelines. Duration of the funding Program Line 1: (preparatory and cooperation visits) 1 to 2 months Program Line 2: (research stays) 2 to 6 months Note:- Stays conducted outside Germany are ineligible for funding. The period of funding must begin in 2026 and be completed by 31st January 2027. Funding or extension beyond 31 January 2027 is not possible.
