Venkateshwara Open University (VOU), established in 2012, is a State Open University located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), VOU operates as a Public institution under the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The university was established through the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam 2012 with the primary objective of providing quality higher education through open and distance learning mode to students across India and abroad. VOU is committed to democratising education by making it accessible to all sections of society, particularly those who cannot pursue regular classroom-based education due to geographical, financial, or personal constraints.
