National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand, established in 2009, is a premier technical institution located in Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. As one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India, it operates as a Public institution with Central government funding. The institute was established as a joint initiative by the Government of India and the Government of Uttarakhand to provide quality technical education in the hill state. National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand is recognized by the Ministry of Education and is an Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. The institute is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand offers diverse academic programmes spanning across Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD levels in various engineering and science disciplines. The institute admits students primarily through JEE Main for Undergraduate programmes and GATE for Postgraduate programmes, ensuring merit-based admissions.
