King George Medical University

King George Medical University (KGMU), established in 1905 as King George's Medical College, is one of India's oldest and most prestigious medical institutions located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Originally founded to commemorate the visit of King George V, the institution was elevated to university status in 2002, making it a State university under the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
