Khangchendzonga State University

Khangchendzonga State University, established in 2017, is a public state university located in Yangang, South Sikkim, India. Named after the majestic Mount Khangchendzonga, the third-highest mountain in the world, the university serves as the premier higher education institution of Sikkim. Khangchendzonga State University was established through the Khangchendzonga State University Act of 2017 by the Government of Sikkim to consolidate and upgrade the state's higher education system. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and operates as a unitary state university. Spread across a scenic campus, Khangchendzonga State University offers a wide range of academic programmes across disciplines including arts, science, commerce, management, education, law, and technology.
