Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, established in 2008, is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a State Public university dedicated to rehabilitation sciences and related disciplines. The university was established under the Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University Act 2008 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, making it the first national-level rehabilitation university in South Asia. Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The institution is also recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) for its various rehabilitation programmes. The university offers a comprehensive range of courses across Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD levels in rehabilitation sciences, special education, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, clinical psychology, speech and hearing, and allied health sciences.
