Bengaluru North University

Bengaluru North University (BNU) was established in 2017 by the Government of Karnataka as a State Public university to cater to the growing educational needs of north Bengaluru and surrounding districts. Located in Kolar, Karnataka, the university was carved out from Bangalore University to provide quality higher education and research opportunities to students in the region. Bengaluru North University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC. The university offers a comprehensive range of academic programmes across various disciplines including Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, and Technology. Courses are offered at Diploma; Certificate; Undergraduate; Postgraduate; PhD levels through its constituent colleges and affiliated institutions spread across Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban (northern parts), Chikkaballapura, and Kolar districts. The university conducts its own entrance examinations for postgraduate programmes and also accepts scores from national-level entrance tests including KMAT; PGCET; KCET for admission to various courses.
