Bagalkot University

Bagalkot University, established in 2014, is a State university located in Bagalkot, Karnataka. The university was established by the Karnataka State Government through the Bagalkot University Act, 2014, with the objective of providing quality higher education in the northern Karnataka region. Bagalkot University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and operates as a Public institution. The university offers a wide range of academic programmes across Diploma, Certificate, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD levels in various disciplines including Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Education, and Law. Admissions to various programmes are conducted through merit-based selection and entrance examinations such as KCET; PGCET; KMAT; and university-specific entrance tests. The university spans a sprawling campus and focuses on providing accessible and affordable education to students from diverse backgrounds, particularly from the Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
