All India Institute of Medical Sciences Nagpur, commonly known as AIIMS Nagpur, was established in 2018 as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) initiative to expand quality medical education infrastructure across India. Located in the MIHAN area of Nagpur, Maharashtra, this Public Central institution operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. AIIMS Nagpur is recognized by the Medical Council of India (now National Medical Commission) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The institute offers comprehensive medical education programmes including Undergraduate (MBBS), Postgraduate (MD/MS/DM/MCh), and PhD research programmes across various medical specialties. Admissions to undergraduate programmes are conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET-UG), whilst postgraduate admissions are based on NEET-PG and NEET-SS scores for super-speciality courses.
